CBC Mount Edmund boasts a proud history that spans over 100 years. Our school has evolved and transformed into a dynamic and inclusive institution that offers a wide variety of subjects, sporting codes, and cultural activities. Nestled in the beautiful setting of Silverton, Pretoria, our campus provides an inspiring environment for learning and growth.

Educational Curriculum

CBC Mount Edmund writes the Independent Examination Board (IEB) examinations. The IEB curriculum is designed to challenge pupils and develop a broad skill-set. We offer a diverse choice of subjects and innovative teaching methods.

Assessment and Examinations

Assessment and Examinations

Pupils are continuously assessed through coursework, tests, and projects. The final matriculation examination, known as the National Senior Certificate (NSC), is administered by the IEB at the end of Grade 12.

Support and Enrichment

Support and Enrichment

CBC Mount Edmund offers various support programmes to assist pupils, such as Further Studies Physics & Mathematics, various Olympiads, reading programmes and a marvellous wellness programme. The enrichment and support programmes are designed to help pupils holistically so that they can achieve their academic goals and prepare for their future endeavours.

Sport Activities

Our sports programme is built to help pupils develop their skills, foster teamwork, and achieve excellence on and off the field. We offer a wide range of sports for every interest and skill level.

Cultural activities

Our cultural programme is aimed to celebrate diversity. Our goal is to help pupils appreciate and respect the wonderful variety of cultures that make up our community. We offer a wide range of cultural activities for every interest and skill level.

Co-curricular cultural activities:

Public speaking, English Olympiad, Monologues & Dialogues, Art Club, Chess, Edmund Rice Society (ERS), Sons of God, Debating, Photography Club, Book Club, Choir.

Outsourced cultural activities:

Djembe Drumming and Marimba.
